November 4th 2008 was not only the national election but was the election for your local township representation.  The following positions (IN BOLD PRINT) were up for election in November 2008 - results follow:

Township Clerk:  This is a four year term currently held by Dorothy Clairmont - Re-elected in 2006 votes (Term ends 2010)

Township Supervisor A:  This is a four year term currently held by Mike Schmidt - Re-elected in 2006 votes (Term ends 2010)

Township Treasurer:  This is a four year term currently held by Amanda Lofthus - Re-elected by 229 votes (Term ends 2012)

Township Supervisor B:  This is a four year term currently held by Roger Corsen - Re-elected by 220 votes (Term ends 2012)

Township Supervisor C:  This is a four year term currently held by Russ Nickerson - Re-elected by 209 votes (Term ends 2012)

If you are interested in running for office, please file.  This will get your name on the ballot.  Write in's ballots are accepted, however, those will cost your township extra time and money because the write in ballots are kicked out of the election equipment that could automatically count the ballot and thus are counted by hand.  The filing periods dates are from August 26 to September 9, 2008.
